A steady growth in the scope of services rendered by public catering enterprises is seen in the period from 2005 through 2009. In 2005, the scope of services by such enterprises was 37,396.8 million tenge, while in 2009, the scope reached 111,556.1 million tenge, i.e. a 198.3% growth!
According to the Republic of Kazakhstan’s Agency for Statistics, the number of public catering enterprises has grown by 27.7% from 2005 through 2009 to reach 22,060 enterprises. As a result, the number of seats has grown by 138.3%.
